The Little People

Last night on my way home from work I expected to find a bunch of Dangerous D’s tiny family members crashed out in every room of the house. That would mean I’d have to be quiet throughout the evening which was going to cramp my style. Since I work swing shift I don’t come home until well after midnight most of the time. My weekday afternoons are like from midnight to three or four in the morning. I don’t eat dinner until then and by the time I crash out the sun is starting to come up.

Much to my surprise when I got home, none of the little people were anywhere to be found. They weren’t lying on the livingroom furniture or stacked like firewood in the upstairs office. Instead, Dangerous D had managed to cram them all into his bedroom. Wacky. I imagined they must have been piled on top of each other in a nest of Oompah Loompah sized bodies. At least I wouldn’t have to walk around the house in stealth mode worrying about waking them up. Then I had another thought. What if they became hungry in the dead of night and started gnawing their way through the walls? Nah, their teeth didn’t look like they were that strong or sharp…

In the morning when I woke up it appeared I was the only person in the house. D had packed them all into his car and headed out hours before. Cool they were sort of like a self-cleaning oven, the mess was taken care of all by itself for now. I was still going to yell at him and plenty for pulling this stunt but it would have to wait until I caught him at work. It’s obvious Dangerous D was completely premeditated in planning to set up this family visit of his without telling me the truth. That’s what I really hate about the jerk. He uses his disabilities to play on people’s sympathy to get what he wants. If he doesn’t get what he wants he goes ahead and does it anyway, but pretends to be stupid about it. He’s a manipulative little shit.
